The concept of circular and temporary migration is still relatively new and poorly theorized in Italy, although in practice there are already several examples which are correlated thereto of which the principle actors are parties who have a multitude of interests, such as students, researchers, seasonal workers, professionals, self employed etc. as will be highlighted during this analysis.

The main objective of this study is therefore that of providing a contribution to the systematic analysis currently in use in Italy using as a guideline the concept of “circular migration” as defined by the European Commission.
